Our advanced tuning service combines the finest in aural tuning with electronic sound analysis to provide the best possible tuning for your piano. This Service is designed for pianos which are on a regular schedule, typically tuned yearly.
Choose this option if it has been more than 2 years, but less than 6 years since your last piano tuning.
Book this service if it has been longer than 6 years since your piano has been tuned, or if you recently acquired a used piano and don't know the tuning history.
This service is specifically designed for first-time customers. This appointment allows enough time for a pitch raise or adjustment, fine tuning, and basic repairs/adjustments to keys and pedals. If time allows, action screws are tightened and the action lubricated.

This service may include (according to priority), pitch raise, fine tuning, repairs/adjustments to the action, pedals, and bench, fixing sticky or inoperable keys, tightening of screws, lubrication of action, voicing and/or cleaning.
On this visit, we go through the entire piano to make improvements to both touch and tone.

If you've recently purchased a used piano or aren't sure exactly what is needed, this is the option for you.
The cost for the following basic repairs are factored at $25 per 15 minute increment. These are estimated prices based on the most typical issues. There is a 1 hour minimum for any visit that does not include a tuning.
Lubricate, tighten screws, and adjust pedal mechanism to mitigate pedal squeaking.
This is the typical time and cost to repair a non-functional pedal, actual cost may vary.
Diagnose and repair issues with a sticky, sluggish, or non-repeating key.
This is a rough estimate of time and cost for situations where there are multiple problematic keys.

Recommended every 5 years. Interior cleaning of major parts such as keys, internal components, and cleaning under the piano strings (soundboard area).
This is a thorough cleaning of the inside and outside of your piano. This includes the under-string area (soundboard) on grand pianos. The action will be removed, the inside will be vacuumed, the case will be polished, and scratches on the case will be hidden when possible.
This is half-hour visit where we carefully inspect your piano and answer your questions.

As above, but includes a written report with photos, details, and estimates of current value, replacement value, etc... Most often this is what is needed for insurance, donation, or tax purposes.

Controlling the humidity level within your piano will keep it in much better tune all year long. These systems will reduce the likelihood of your strings and tuning pins rusting, your soundboard cracking, and will extend the overall life of your piano.

Refinishing includes stripping, sanding, staining, new finish. Includes polishing or replating of hardware.
Piano rebuilding is the replacement and/or refurbishing of all parts of the piano. Includes replacement of felts, pins, leathers, hammers in the action. Polishing/replating of hinges, pedals, screws throughout the piano. New strings, bridge pins, and repairs to cracks in soundboard, possible soundboard replacement. Refinishing of case and soundboard. Every aspect of the piano is covered. The instrument will be brought back to like-new or often better than new condition.
