Specialized Care
Milwaukee has become an important part of my regular service area, and I’m pleased to bring the same level of piano care here that I have provided for decades to homeowners, musicians, institutions, studios, and performers throughout the Midwest.
My work in the Milwaukee area includes precision tuning, pitch correction, regulation, voicing, repairs, restoration, and service for digital and acoustic player-piano systems. Whether I’m working on a family upright, a grand piano used for teaching and practice, or an instrument that needs more extensive mechanical attention, my goal is the same: to give each piano the careful, experienced service it needs.
I currently schedule Milwaukee-area appointments during dedicated service visits every couple of weeks. This allows me to serve customers throughout Milwaukee and the surrounding communities while building an increasingly regular route in southeastern Wisconsin. If your schedule has some flexibility, I’ll be glad to coordinate your appointment with one of my upcoming Milwaukee service dates.

Are You Here Because You Recently Obtained a Used Piano?
Many of our clients contact us after another tuning didn’t hold, didn’t sound right, or didn’t address underlying issues.
We do it right the first time, GUARANTEED!
We were told our family piano that 3 generations of women have learned to play on would never be able to be tuned. Joe came today and had it tuned in 2 hours for the first time in 30 years. My mother wept as she watched her granddaughter play this afternoon. You can’t put a price on that. Thank you, Joe! You are our piano tuner for as long as you will have us.

I cannot speak highly enough of Joe! Everything is set up through email and online, which was perfect for me. He is great at what he does (as his other reviews attest to), but even more importantly he´s a kind, conversational person. If someone is going to be in my home for hours (for the neglected piano service tuning) its so important to be comfortable with them. Definitely recommending him to everyone i know with a piano!

Joe Kemple is an amazing piano tech. Every time he’s worked on my piano it sounds nothing short of spectacular. He’s a true master of his craft and I couldn’t be happier with the results. If you’re looking for top-notch tuning services look no further than Burd and Sons

What a terrific asset to our artistic community! A technician equal to any task at hand, with a true appreciation for the unique characteristics of the instruments under his care. Tunings are superb, and the technical work is SUBLIME. For this you would expect to pay prices well above the market, but prices are very reasonable, and the service and responsiveness let you know that exceptional work is the rule, not the lucky exception. Trust this tech and don’t look back. Make the smart investment.
