I have a small grand piano in my “hobby” studio. I had scheduled to do a tuning and regulation as I haven’t been entirely happy with the sound since it was last tuned by another company. However, Joe recommended we wait on the regulation and instead suggested some sound treatment I can do to the room first. He did complete the tuning, including giving extra attention to a couple mismatched string pairs. The piano now sounds great! I’m going to work on room acoustics a bit, then have Joe do some voicing and regulation to really dial in the sound I’m looking for. I can highly recommend!
Everything about this experience is 5 stars. The website is super easy to navigate and has a self service appointment scheduler. The prices and service options are up front and transparent with good descriptions to help you find the exact service you need. The reminder emails about when my piano is due for a tune are super helpful. Joe shows up on time and is very personable. And of course the piano sounds amazing.
I have a very old piano that I bought on Facebook a year ago. It was in pretty rough shape and needed a lot of work done. These guys did a phenomenal job! They were friendly, punctual, and communicated well. My piano is perfectly tuned and I never knew it could look so good after they got it cleaned up. I'll be using them for my yearly tune ups. We recently bought a 1937 Chickering baby grand piano from Joe and it has become a true fixture of our home. He tuned it and it sounds incredible. Joe is extremely knowledgeable about pianos of all ages and brands. He was very upfront with us about the work we’ll want to put into our piano over the years to get it back to its original glory and maintain its sound. When it’s time for us to do a complete restoration, we know who we’re calling!

Mr. Kemple at St. Louis Piano Tuning applied his magic and considerable skills and brought it back to life and it now sounds magnificent.
