Mechanical Precision: The actions in world class pianos are designed for extreme dynamic range. Even a millimeter of wear or seasonal settling can rob a pianist of the ability to play a true pianissimo.
Tonal Architecture: Spruce soundboards and wound strings produce a complex spectrum of overtones which changes over time. Voicing ensures that the “color” of the tone is perfectly even across the keyboard, removing harshness and restoring the maker’s intended sound.

Joe has performed over 20,000 service calls including specialized tuning, voicing, and technical preparation for grammy award winning artists and legendary venues in the U.S. and Europe.

A comprehensive, full, dedicated day of absolute focus on a single instrument.
This is ideal for bringing an heirloom or high-performance piano back to its absolute peak.
Precision Concert Tuning: The piano is tuned twice in one sitting, with particular emphasis placed on stability.
Action Regulation Touch-up: Over 40 specific points are measured and adjusted to their proper close tolerances.
Voicing: Hammers are fitted to the strings and carefully needled to restore warmth and power.
Deep Internal Detailing: Meticulous cleaning of the soundboard, keybed, action cavity, and the case.
Note for local clients: For instruments located within the greater St. Louis metropolitan area, travel and transport fees are entirely waived.
