The vast majority of upgrades are a quick swapping out of the brain of the system, with the tech paying no attention to the regulation of the action or fitment of the solenoids to the keys. Technicians who do this are robbing the piano of the vast improvements that the upgrade is capable of providing. A digital/wireless upgrade should not leave the piano playing just as clunkily as it did before. Older player systems give a piano quite a work-out, and after a decade of being ridden hard, these pianos are way overdue for regulation – both to the piano action and the solenoid rail which provides the power to make the keys move. We set all specifications back to “zero”, which is a meticulous process, and why it takes two experts two days to complete the upgrade properly. We leave your piano playing whisper-quiet and up to the full potential of both the piano and the player system.

The Master Artisan: With 38 years of experience, Joe represents the third generation of our family’s piano craftsmanship. He handles action regulation and acoustic tuning and voicing, ensuring the piano sounds and plays up to its potential. Joe has been installing PianoDisc and QRS, systems for 35 years and has hands-on experience with each phase of their evolution along the way – he is the one they call to fix what other installers have done wrong.
The Technology Specialist: Ike represents the fourth generation of our trade, combining a solid education of traditional piano mechanics with cutting-edge digital expertise. He performs both the hardware and software upgrades, solenoid regulation and wireless network calibration.

This session completely modernizes your playback experience:
Hardware Extraction: Clean, professional removal of obsolete, bulky legacy control boxes (such as old iQ blocks, CD, or floppy disk units) hanging beneath your keybed. We will provide proper disposal of all extracted hardware.
Wireless High-Resolution Conversion: Installation of the latest generation wireless processor (such as the PianoDisc Prodigy II or QRS PNOmation), upgrading your system’s digital architecture to 1,024 levels of expression with seamless Bluetooth control.
Action and Solenoid Regulation: This is the most important part, and what is most often left out. The piano action is regulated, the hammers are reshaped and voiced, and the solenoid rail is cleaned and re-fitted to the action.
Tuning: The piano is given a concert level tuning by the Master Tech.
Turnkey Control Console: Provision of a brand-new Apple iPad, fully prepped, optimized, and pre-loaded with your control software and music libraries for immediate use. Before we depart your estate, we provide a full personal orientation for you, your family, or your staff. We walk you through managing your music libraries on the iPad, setting up custom playlists, and streaming audio, until you are completely comfortable operating your modernized instrument.

Optical MIDI Record Array: Precision integration of a low-profile, non-contact optical sensor strip beneath the keybed. This tracks exact key velocity and timing without altering the mechanical touch, providing flawless MIDI data capture for recording.
Silent-Play Mute Rail: Installation of a hammer stop-rail mechanism, allowing you to completely mute the piano for headphone-based playing or direct digital tracking.
